Working in contemporary organisations can be an  incredibly rewarding experiences but it can also be stressful and challenging. Everyone can experience stress of some kind; individuals and teams have a variety of ways that are utilised to deal with this. Adverse incidents, near misses and complaints are just a few of the many situations that can negatively impact on us both professionally and personally.

Resilience in Health offers organisations, teams and individuals activities that supports review, reflection and  restorative debriefing. No one goes to work with an intention to harm anyone but things can go wrong. When they do, it is important to seek independent expert support and advice; Resilience in Health will provide this. Learning from such situations, understanding what worked well and what could be improved is the first step towards absorbing, recovering and adapting.

Resilience in Health can be there at every step of the debriefing journey for an organisation, team or individual. Alternatively we can step on and off the journey as required. Both Cathy and Sue have vast experience in this area and are passionate about supporting staff to understand and experience safe, respectful and restorative activities to recover and adapt.


There are many times during our careers where we could benefit from someone to share their knowledge to guide us in our own development or to offer reassurance on our progress. This can be at the beginning of our careers or at any time where we are taking on a new position, possibly undertaking a new project, learning new skills. You may be reflecting on your leadership style and qualities and wish to develop further understanding.

We can often benefit from having a skilled and independent person to listen to our story who could provide an impartial sounding board for our thoughts, issues or concerns.

Resilience in Health can provide a mentor who will offer a confidential service aimed at supporting and  assisting you to meet your goals. Your mentor will be able to provide you the space to explore where you are now, what it is that you want to achieve and together develop strategies of how to progress in the most effective way.

Resilience in Health will work with you to develop a plan that suits your needs. You may feel you would like one session, or you may wish to have several sessions to monitor your progress. We are flexible with the main aim of meeting your needs. These sessions can be over the phone or in a virtual setting whichever is most convenient for you.

Clinical Supervision

Clinical Supervision in healthcare has many meanings and is used in a variety of ways. Resilience in Health services include a method that supports dedicated time for individuals to examine their practice, or events, by in depth evaluation, reflection and development.

A safe secure therapeutic relationship will be offered to support individuals and teams to enhance their own clinical practice and provide support for one another.

Organisational Culture and Team Cohesion

Do you work in an organisation or team that has potential but is, at times, non-cohesive and fragmented? Are the dynamics and culture a problem? Would you like to be a catalyst for change but feel unable to initiate change?

Resilience in Health can offer a fresh new approach to a bespoke service designed to take the team members on a revolutionary journey. This will be a stepped approach, consistently evaluated over the course of the activities to ensure sustainable change can be achieved.

At interview it is natural to want to do your best, to perform in a way that will give you the edge over the competition and you want the panel to recognise your strengths for the position. One of the best ways to prepare for that important interview is to have an interview first. This way you can practise the best way to respond to all questions to demonstrate what you can offer.

Resilience in Health can offer this preparation by being your interview panel. We will be challenging where we need to be and very supportive through the process. Your friends and colleagues can also do this, but they may not be constructively critical enough to support your preparation. Let us get you in training so that you are as well prepared as possible.

Seeing your body language and how you conduct yourself when answering questions, can be as informative as hearing the words you say. The interview and discussion would take approximately one hour with additional recommended support as negotiated.

What we will need from you is a copy of the position description for the job and some information about the organisation so that we can understand the priorities for your employment.

Resume Development

Your resume is your best chance at being selected for an interview. Therefore, it is the most important tool to have when applying for any positions. Your resume needs to highlight your strengths and attributes throughout your career so that you will stand out to a potential employer. Employers have limited time to search through a document to discover who you are and what you can offer to the position. You need to present something that captures the attention of potential employers.

There is an art to demonstrating your qualifications, what you have achieved, where you have worked and what skills you have in a succinct manner. It is so important to spend  time in developing a good quality resume so you will be noticed and increase your chances of being offered an interview. Your resume is your chance to get your foot in the door.

Resilience in Health can work with you to develop a high-quality resume that could increase your chances of being offered an interview. We will need to have documents about your career, possibly an existing resume and the position description for a job that you are applying for that we can work with.
